About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Payable Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function while playing a key role in the implementation and optimisation of financial systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing high-volume payables processes, leading teams, and successfully delivering finance system implementations or upgrades in a hands-on environment.
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments and ownership of individual account portfolio within a highly manual system (MYOB).
- Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Own the AP ledger, including supplier reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead or support the implementation, upgrade, or integration of finance and ERP systems, acting as the AP subject matter expert.
About You
- Proven experience in a similar Accounts Payable Manager or Senior AP role.
- Demonstrable experience leading or significantly contributing to financial systems implementations (e.g., SAP, Business Central, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, etc.).
- Strong understanding of accounts payable best practices, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent systems knowledge, with advanced Excel skills and ERP system proficiency.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
