Credit & Accounts Payable Manager – Manufacturing

A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Credit & Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and lead its finance operations across credit control and supplier payments.
With a 50+ year track record in the QLD and NSW markets, this business plays a key role in delivering major commercial and residential projects through a strong focus on people, process, and quality.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage end-to-end credit and AP processes, with a focus on maintaining strong cash flow, credit risk management, and supplier relationships. The role involves working with both internal teams and external stakeholders across a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead credit control processes and manage customer credit risk
Oversee accounts payable operations and supplier relationships
Liaise closely with Sales, Operations, and Procurement teams
Manage insurer relationships, trade credit limits, and claims
Lead collections, escalations, and legal recovery processes
Ensure timely payments and accurate AP reconciliations
Mentor and lead a small finance team
Report directly to the CFO with regular financial insights
What You’ll Need
5+ years in Credit Management and AP leadership
Experience with trade credit insurance and construction credit risk
ERP proficiency (PRONTO experience desirable)
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
A background in manufacturing, construction or steel will be highly regarded
