Based at the in their headquarters in Parramatta, this role sits within the HR Transactional Services team, supporting key operational improvements across payroll, workers' compensation, and recruitment functions. You'll be working alongside a senior leadership team that values collaboration and innovation.
Your new role
As the Business Process Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in mapping, documenting, and enhancing business processes that support transactional and case management activities. Reporting to the Acting Director of HR Transactional Services, you will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop both high-level and detailed process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Process Mapping: Collaborate with SMEs to design and document end-to-end business processes using tools such as Visio. You'll create both high-level overviews and detailed process flows that support operational clarity and compliance.
- Technical Writing: Draft clear, concise, and user-friendly SOPs and work instructions to support HR functions, particularly in areas related to workers' compensation and income protection systems (SAP and bespoke platforms).
- Training Development: Create engaging training materials, including screen recordings and step-by-step guides. You may also be involved in delivering training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with a small but experienced leadership team to gather insights, validate processes, and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Project Support: Contribute to broader project delivery efforts, particularly those focused on improving payroll, recruitment, and compensation workflows.
This is a hands-on role that requires a balance of analytical thinking, technical writing, and interpersonal communication. You'll be instrumental in ensuring that business processes are not only well-documented but also practical and easy to implement.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in business process development, technical writing, or similar roles.
- Strong skills in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience developing training content and delivering presentations in a professional setting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex workflows into clear documentation.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Experience in payroll, workers' compensation, or recruitment environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems is a plus.
