Karuna Hospice Service Ltd (“Karuna”) is a community-focused organisation guided by Buddhist principles. Karuna is dedicated to alleviating suffering by fostering choice, agency, and quality of life for all. Through specialised end-of-life care and other holistic supports, we provide compassionate, dignity-centred guidance to individuals, carers, and the broader community. Support a small caseload of carers including adults, adolescents, and children

Advocate for carer wellbeing and help strengthen referral networks
Uphold ethical and clinical standards while maintaining detailed, confidential records
Engage in reflective practice, supervision, and ongoing development
What You’ll bring:

Minimum 3 years’ counselling experience in Australia
Experience counselling carers and/or families
Strong communication, risk management, and clinical documentation skills
Driver’s Licence, Police Check, Blue & Yellow Cards, NDIS Orientation, and Professional Indemnity Insurance
Desirable
Experience with CALD, LGBTIQ+, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Group facilitation, public speaking, and program development skills
Confidence with IT systems and digital platforms
