Arch Engineering is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented QA/QC Project Coordinator with qualifications as a Welding Supervisor (AS2214) to support our growing operations in steel fabrication and engineering projects. This hybrid role blends quality assurance/control, and project coordination to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance & Control

Oversee QA/QC requirements across assigned projects under direction of the Project Manager.

Conduct welding inspections in accordance with AS2214 and relevant Australian standards.

Prepare and monitor ITPs, WPSs, and project-specific quality documentation (MDRs, NDT reports, weld maps, etc.).

Ensure all project documentation meets ISO 9001:2015 standards and client requirements.

2. Project Coordination

Assist with project planning and execution by liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Attend site inspections and coordinate pre-starts, deliveries, and transport logistics for fabricated items.

Support production meetings, track project progress, and assist with scheduling and administration.

3. Estimating & Quoting

Interpret fabrication drawings and develop cost estimates using Excel.

Issue RFQs to suppliers and ensure accuracy and completeness of pricing data.

4. Documentation & Process Improvement

Maintain AE’s ISO Quality Management System and update procedural documents.

Assist with internal audits, process improvement, and upgrading QA/QC templates.

Prepare MDRs and ensure all final quality documentation is compiled and submitted.
