This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata’d to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.

This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

About the Opportunity

• Manage the Balranald Multi Purpose Service, one of the Far West LHD's newer, modern facilities in a beautiful location 100 metres from the Murrumbidgee river.
• Manage operational nursing and midwifery service delivery, culture and service improvements to achieve quality patient outcomes, sustainable access and collaboration in health care.
• Lead culture and service improvements to achieve quality patient outcomes, sustainable access and collaboration in health care.
• Be supported by the General Manager District & Remote Health Services to maintain exceptional service delivery.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible by selecting APPLY NOW below:

1. Current nursing registration (as well preferably as a midwife) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Appropriate qualifications in management from Post Graduate to tertiary (Masters level) or working towards same.
3. Demonstrated leadership skills including conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation, and the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff to achieve service and professional goals through recognised change management processes.
4. Proven ability to function effectively as part of a senior management team and to work successfully with other professionals and disciplines in the management of health care services.
5. Broad clinical experience and operational management expertise at a senior level within a health care environment, including strategic planning, the development, implementation & evaluation of organisational Strategic & Business Plans and Project Management.
6. Ability to identify, evaluate and incorporate emerging trends within the profession of nursing to contribute to strategic planning.
7. Evidence of successful achievement in financial management & the ability to develop financial efficiency strategies and achieve goals.
8. Demonstrated understanding of the role, function & funding of public hospital within the Australian and NSW Health Systems.
