The Team:

Ward 3D is a 32-bed general medical ward located on level 3 of the Launceston General Hospital. Our exceptional staff are committed to treating every patient with respect, patience, and support. The Role:

  • Provide support services to Ward 3D that includes assisting with transporting patients to and from diagnostic services where applicable.
  • Respond to Hospital Wide Code Black calls if available afterhours.
  • Assist medical, nursing, and allied health staff in the manual handling of patients and general patient care requirements when directed, including lifting patients in and out of bed, lifting, positioning, and turning patients in bed by manual or mechanical means.
  • Assist in the maintenance and management of equipment

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 17 August 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $67,193 to $72,126 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
