Foodbank WA is looking for a Project Officer to support the School Breakfast program. This position has the opportunity to significantly promote the FEED strategy of Foodbank WA through the provision of healthy breakfast food for schools to feed students in need and support the EDUCATE strategy through Nutrition Education Team involvement.

Part time role - 0.5 FTE, 22.8 hours

Key responsibilities

Works with the School Breakfast Program Manager to implement the School Breakfast Program across metropolitan and regional WA to ensure achievement of funding contract outputs and KPIs.

Provide phone, email and in-person support to prospective and existing schools.

Undertake membership registration functions.

Support delivery of branch direct and remote supply delivery models.

Develop working knowledge of the third-party logistics network that services remote supply schools.

Provide guidance and support to Foodbank branch personnel delivering the Program.

Contribute to development and maintenance of information systems that facilitate Program delivery.

Maintain school engagement which includes activities, communication, visits, dissemination of resources, provision of advice.

Administrative support for regional branch SBP operations.

Support of external SBP service delivery partners as required.

Supports Perth Airport School Fruit Van project administration, communications and invoicing.

Undertakes record and data management functions.

Assist in preparation and review of articles, reports and correspondence as required.

Support relationships with Program funders, partners and supporters as required.

Organizes and conducts tours of Foodbank WA with schools and other student groups.

Essential criteria

Experienced administrative professional with the demonstrated ability in supporting the planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of large-scale projects or programs

Demonstrated ability to form positive working relationships with program stakeholders including FBWA staff, school staff and community, program partners, professional groups, and other organisations.

Demonstrated high level oral and written communication and negotiation skills, including strong written, presentation and verbal skills across mediums.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong analytical skills.

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office product suite.

Demonstrated ability to work with data and management tools

Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery.

Desirable criteria

Understanding of the issues related to food security and high need populations.

Experience in cross-cultural settings, disability and community development settings, or with groups at risk of experiencing economic and social disadvantage.

Experience using Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics GP or Business Central
