About Rec Alley
Rec Alley opened its doors in March, 2017 with a mission to get children in South-West Sydney active and healthy through quality gymnastics programming.
Rec Alley classes include kinder, recreational gymnastics, levels, parkour, trickers (acro), tumbling, and much more. Going beyond gymnastics, Rec Alley encourages healthy living and great behavior's through designing programs that cover areas such as anti-bullying, diversity and inclusion, socialising and much more.
Rec Alley is a TWO TIME WINNER of Gymnastics NSW Large Club of the Year 2018 and 2019 award. It is also on track to be the largest club in NSW by the end of 2023, with an anticipated 4,000 members.
Three clubs in Macarthur, One in Rosehill
Our goal is to grow and promote Rec Alley's gymnastics programs across South West and wider Sydney. Between our four clubs, Rec Alley Gregory Hills, Rec Alley Minto, Rec Alley Oran Park and Rec Alley Rosehill, there is a growing community of Rec Alley gymnasts and families.
Rec Alley coaches have an exciting opportunity to work for a growing gymnastics club and also, have the flexibility to work on classes and Gym Sports they enjoy across three clubs located within a short distance from one another (10 minutes drive between each)
About the roles available
There are multiple coaching opportunities available from First-time/Beginner through to Advanced coaches to meet the demands of continued growth.
We are happy to explore visa arrangements for experienced coaches.
Rec Alley is looking for energetic and passionate Beginner to Advanced level coaches to support the club's various recreational (including Tumbling, Parkour, Tricking, beginner classes, and more) or levels programs (WAG and MAG).
Beginner coaches will be trained across multiple gymsports to teach a wide range of classes. All new Rec Alley coaches go through a paid training and buddy program to help you prepare for coaching gymnastics classes. The training program is especially beneficial for those who have no experience coaching or participating in gymnastics.
There are positions also available focused towards the clubs' various levels classes as well as higher levels Recreational classes including Tumbling, Tricking, Parkour, and more.
Rec Alley offers a very flexible work environment for those with families, study or other commitments. At Rec Alley our busiest periods are in the evenings (3:30pm - 8:00pm) and weekends, whilst we work with your availabilities, we are seeking applicants who are available in the afternoons and weekends specifically.
Whether you are looking for a few afternoons, weekend work, or a busy week, there are plenty of hours available with Rec Alley classes running 7 days a week across two clubs.
This would also suit those wanting to further their career and develop with opportunities a growing business can offer. For the right person, there may be opportunities to also take up other roles within the club as well.
Duties
Coaching a wide range of classes
Providing feedback to gymnasts and parents
Commitment to improving program delivery and being part of a supportive team culture
Working with the senior team to develop and improve programming
Skills and experience
Beginner (or willing to obtain), intermediate or advanced/advanced silver coaching accreditation*
A desire to work in sport & recreation
Ability to provide quality feedback to gymnasts and parents
Have a desire to support or mentor other coaches
CPR and First Aid accreditation*
Working with Children Check and national police check*
*If you do not currently have these, Rec Alley can help you organise them before commencing coaching duties
