Assistant Swim Coach

We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Swim Coach to join our team at the Kiama Leisure Centre.

In the role of Assistant Swim Coach you will:

• Assist in ensuring the efficient operation of the Leisure Centre’s swim squads training programs
• Oversee the Leisure Centre’s swim squads training programs as required
• Assist in the delivery a State and National Swim Squad Program.

• Hourly pay rate of $36.38 - this rate is inclusive of 25% casual loading
• 11.5 % superannuation.

What you'll need to be successful in the role...

To be successful in this role you’ll have excellent communication skills along with the ability to work effectively unsupervised or as a team member. In addition to this you’ll need:

• A Current Foundation Coach (Teacher of Competitive Swimming) certification or equivalent
• A Current First Aid Certificate
• Experience in coaching swimming that caters for individual needs and abilities, including planning and evaluating sessions.

This is a child-related position. You will be required to provide Council with your valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC) number as a condition of your employment. In addition, your employment will be subject to a pre- employment medical and national criminal record check to determine your suitability for employment.
