Seeking Cafe Chef, CDP & Head chef for various roles around Ballina & Byron Bay. Venues ranging from cafes to high volume gastro pubs across the Northern Rivers.
Casual Brekafast Chef - $32.25/hr + weekend rates, 25-30hrs/week
- Breakfast/confernece chef - all goods made within house
- ASAP start
- Experience within a cafe or events environment
CDP - Full time - $73k + S
Key Responsibilities:
- Across all sections - specifically strong on the grill
- Prepare and present dishes to the highest standard
- Assist in stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste
Requirements:
- Strong grill experience
- Worked within a high volume environment before
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality food
- MUST have a car!
Head Chef - $95-$100k + S
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations in a high-volume environment.
- Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation during peak service
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Control food margins, minimize waste, and hit kitchen GP targets
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a senior kitchen role, ideally in a pub dining venue
- Proven ability to manage a busy kitchen and a large team
- Excellent knowledge of food trends
- Strong leadership and communication skills
