Our company produces premium, handcrafted jerky using locally sourced ingredients, and we pride ourselves on quality, sustainability, and creating an unforgettable taste experience for our customers.

The Role: As Chef, you will play a key role in developing and overseeing the production of our range of jerky products. You will be responsible for managing the culinary side of our operation, from developing recipes and flavour profiles to leading a small, dedicated kitchen team. You will be an integral part of our growth as we continue to expand and evolve the jerky industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the culinary development of jerky recipes, focusing on innovation, flavour balance, and consistency.

Oversee the entire jerky production process, ensuring high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene.

Collaborate with the production and marketing teams to create seasonal or special edition products.

Manage kitchen staff, providing training and development to maintain a motivated and efficient team.

Monitor inventory, manage food costs, and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and order within the kitchen.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and emerging flavours to keep our products fresh and exciting.

About You:

Proven experience as a Chef, preferably with experience in a manufacturing or production kitchen but straight out of a high volume restaurant kitchen is great too.

Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.

A creative and innovative mindset with a passion for developing new flavours and recipes.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

A love for sustainable, locally sourced ingredients.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
