Jenner & Co Logistics & Supply Chain recruitment is partnering with one of its repeat clients in the online fulfilment space to source a new and exciting role of Senior Manager (Global Logistics Strategy)‬.

For this Sydney based role our client are seeking a senior‬ logistics strategist to lead the design of a future-ready global supply chain. This role is‬ responsible for developing the end-to-end strategy, modelling, and commercial‬ evaluation of an outsourced, asset-light logistics network that enables efficient entry‬ into new markets while complementing our existing operations.‬

‭The successful candidate will own the strategic design phase of our cross-border logistics transformation,‬ leading all feasibility assessments, network modelling, partner evaluations, and‬ financial/risk analysis required to deliver a board-ready recommendation.

The strategy‬ will centre on Asia-based consolidation and a flexible, scalable global distribution‬ footprint tailored to ecommerce fulfillment This role is intentionally scoped for the initial design and recommendation phase.‬

Future operational ownership, such as implementation and ongoing vendor‬management, will be determined post board approval and may be owned by other‬ teams or considered for transition depending on the final org structure.‬

The person:-

8–12 years’ experience in logistics strategy, supply chain network design, or international freight operations, with a proven track record in cross-border logistics, particularly within ecommerce, retail, or consumer goods sectors.

Minimum 3 years in senior leadership roles, with demonstrated success in designing and scaling global supply chain networks, including for mixed product assortments (1P and 3P).

Deep expertise in outsourced logistics models, including Asia-based consolidation, LCL/CFS flows, bonded vs. non-bonded warehousing, and cross-border fulfillment.

Proven experience evaluating, selecting, and negotiating with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and logistics tech partners across global markets.

Demonstrated experience managing seller consignment, dropshipping models, and integrating third-party seller items into scalable logistics solutions.

Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L management, cost optimisation, and partner negotiation to drive value and margin retention.

Highly analytical with advanced capability in financial modelling, network simulation, risk and ROI analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau.

Highly data-literate and familiar with logistics systems and tools including WMS, TMS, ERP platforms, and integrations across supply chain technology stacks.

Strong understanding of global trade compliance, customs/taxation, incoterms, and multi-market ecommerce operations.

Clear, strategic communicator with exceptional stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence at executive and board levels.

Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of building logistics strategies from scratch, pivoting quickly, and operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field; postgraduate qualifications (MBA, MSc, etc.) are desirable.
