About the role

Kyogle Together Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team. This part-time role is based in Kyogle, NSW 2474 and will play a crucial part in supporting young people in our community.

What you'll be doing

• Providing one-on-one support and mentoring to young people, addressing their individual needs and concerns
• Facilitating group activities, workshops and programs that promote personal development, life skills and social inclusion
• Collaborating with other local youth services and community organisations to ensure a holistic approach to youth support
• Maintaining detailed case notes and contributing to the evaluation and reporting of youth programs
• Advocating for the rights and needs of young people and connecting them with relevant services and resources

What we're looking for

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Work or a related field
• Demonstrated experience working with young people from diverse backgrounds, preferably in a community-based setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with young people
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a solution-focused approach
• Commitment to promoting the wellbeing, empowerment and active participation of young people
• Current driver's licence and willingness to undertake a working with children check
