Our government client is seeking an experienced Governance Officer, ICT to join their Information Security Services team and contribute to impactful IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives. This 12-month contract offers an exciting opportunity to support robust governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support for IT GRC initiatives
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of efficient reporting and consultation processes
• Support the planning and delivery of annual security compliance activities
• Facilitate and coordinate operational issues to meet deadlines, including providing secretariat support for ICT governance committees (e.g., preparing documentation).

Capabilities & Desirable Attributes:

• Previous experience in government settings (Local, State, or Federal).
• Demonstrated experience in audit, support, and compliance activities, preferably in a large ICT/security environment aligned with standards like IS18, NIST, or ACSC Essential 8.
• Strong analytical skills to investigate, collate, and interpret complex data for accurate reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly organised, proactive, and professional with a strong administrative background.
