Rate: $40/hour (ABN)

Duration: Project-based work (approx. 6 months)

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Pump Linehand to join our construction team on Hamilton Island. The Linehand is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining concrete pump pipelines on construction sites. This role involves working closely with pump operators, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of concrete to designated areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the setup and dismantling of concrete pump pipelines.

Lay out and secure pipeline (hoses and clamps) according to job requirements.

Guide the concrete hose to direct the flow of concrete to specified locations.

Monitor the concrete flow and communicate with the pump operator to ensure consistent delivery.

Clean and maintain the pump and pipeline equipment after each job.

Adhere to all safety procedures, company policies, and industry regulations.

Identify and report any faults, blockages, or equipment issues promptly.

Perform basic maintenance and assist in minor repairs of concrete pumping equipment.

Ensure work areas are kept clean and hazard-free.

Requirements:

Must hold a minimum LR truck license

Previous experience in a similar role preferred (training may be provided for the right candidate).

Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.

Strong awareness of worksite health and safety protocols.

Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends if required.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Valid driver’s license (HR license is an advantage).

Willingness to relocate to Airlie Beach for the project duration

Flexibility to assist with general site tasks

Desirable Qualifications:

Knowledge of different types of concrete pumps (line pumps and boom pumps).

Experience in residential, commercial, or civil construction projects.

First aid certification.
