About the role

Exciting part-time opportunity for an Optical Receptionist/Sales Assistant to join the team at David Leong Optometrist in Vermont South, VIC. As a key member of the optical practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting the optometrists in delivering quality eye care to our growing patient base.

What you'll be doing

• Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Manage patient bookings and enquiries, both in person and over the phone
• Process payments and handle cash/EFTPOS/health insurance transactions
• Assist patients in selecting and purchasing eyewear, frames and contact lenses
• Maintain a tidy and organised reception and retail area
• Provide general administrative support to the optometrists

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably within the optical or healthcare industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using computer systems and software
• A passion for health and wellness, and an interest in the optical industry
• Availability to work part-time hours, including some Saturdays
