South Freo Continental, situated in the heart of a vibrant south freo community, a short stroll from the coast, is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Head Chef.
Your responsibilities:
Lead the breakfast and lunch service with passion, precision, creativity and consistency.
Prepare and present high-quality dishes, from classic breakfasts to seasonal specials.
Manage kitchen operations, including staff coordination and inventory to minimise waste and control of food costings
Coordinate and organise kitchen workflow, ensuring optimal efficiency during service.
Oversee food preparation and cooking to our high standard.
Enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Undertake and prioritise tasks and where necessary delegate responsibilities effectively to meet operational demands.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and an exceptional and positive customer experience.
What We’re Looking For:
8+ years' experience
Proven experience as a sous chef or head chef in a similar café or breakfast and lunch style setting.
Strong leadership and time-management skills.
Passion for food, quality produce and customer service.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certifications
Collaborate with management.
