Are you ready to play a key role in shaping the culinary direction of one of Perth’s most sophisticated hospitality venues?

Tucked inside the grand, heritage-listed Royal Insurance Building in the heart of Perth CBD, The Heritage is more than just a restaurant – it’s a destination. Home to a 40-seat a la carte dining room, a 20-seat bar, a boutique wine store, and the moody, underground cocktail haven Bobeche, our venue seamlessly blends old-world charm with modern hospitality.

We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with small-scale farmers, producers, and distributors who share our commitment to sustainability. By doing so, we believe we can achieve the highest quality and best practices in every dish.

We’re now looking for a talented Head Chef to lead both kitchens with confidence, consistency, and creative flair alongside our Executive Chef, Guillaume Groult.

What You’ll Do as Our Head Chef:

Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations across two kitchen spaces, working closely with our Executive Chef.

Create and execute high-quality, seasonal menus that showcase your culinary expertise.

Manage prep, stock rotation, and invoice approvals.

Mentor and guide a team of passionate chefs and junior kitchen staff, including roster and shift management.

Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and dish innovation.

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation.

Ensure cleaning standards are met and daily checklists are completed.

Who You Are:

A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar senior kitchen leadership role.

Confident in managing multiple service styles (a la carte, bar, private dining).

Passionate about wine and creating dishes that pair beautifully with our extensive wine cellar.

Committed to food quality, team culture, and enhancing the guest experience.

A strong leader with a calm, hands-on approach.

You hold the following certifications: Cert III in Commercial Cookery (or higher), WA Food Handler, and Food Safety Supervisor.
