An opportunity has arisen for a senior leader with deep SAP Finance expertise to take the reins of a high-profile ERP transformation within a leading insurance organisation. This is a pivotal role leading the delivery of Finance capabilities within a global ERP framework, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective solutions across end-to-end financial processes.

Role Overview
As the ERP Tribe Lead – Finance, you’ll bring strong leadership and SAP Finance domain expertise to drive the delivery and adoption of a new global ERP finance architecture. You’ll work across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure the finance transformation aligns with enterprise goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and domain expertise across the Finance workstream of the ERP program, particularly around core financial processes (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Controlling).
• Act as the key interface between local finance teams and global ERP delivery streams to assess architecture gaps and advocate for business requirements.
• Define an engagement strategy to ensure effective alignment between enterprise-level ERP design and local Finance operations.
• Collaborate with other ERP tribe leads to ensure upstream and downstream process impacts are identified, communicated, and addressed early.
• Lead resource planning and manage delivery capacity across the Finance ERP workstream, including preparing business cases to support changes in scope or team structure.
• Review and endorse test strategies, outcomes, and documentation specific to the Finance ERP components.
• Represent the Finance stream in program-level steering groups, working groups, and governance forums.
• Provide expert guidance on risk identification and mitigation in collaboration with Finance risk and compliance stakeholders.
• Drive proactive and transparent communication with Finance leadership, Product Owners, and other key business stakeholders.
• Facilitate Finance-focused ERP briefings, workshops, and updates as required to ensure alignment and readiness across impacted teams.
• Champion business outcomes by ensuring Finance interests are fully considered in global ERP implementation plans.

About You

• Extensive experience delivering SAP Finance (FI/CO) solutions in large-scale ERP or digital transformation environments.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in navigating global-local delivery models.
• Deep understanding of finance operations, regulatory considerations, and business process optimisation.
• Demonstrated ability to work across functional and technical teams to drive solution design and execution.
• Insurance or financial services sector experience strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in Agile delivery environments is desirable.
