Work Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Salary: $63,700 FTE + superannuation
About Us
We are a national not-for-profit professional association in the education sector, which also provides services to other smaller, like-minded, associations. Our team is inclusive, professional and committed to helping our associations thrive. We are looking for an experienced, dedicated Association Officer to join our team and manage the activities of two small, vibrant professional associations.
The Role
As the Association Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely provision of services to the allocated associations, working closely with the association executive members under the direction of the General Manager. This position is part time.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general administrative tasks.
Maintain membership databases and manage member enquiries.
Organise and manage events, including logistics and registrations.
Prepare reports and attend meetings as required.
In consultation with relevant association Executive members, manage communications including journals, newsletters and various membership and promotional campaigns.
Along with the General Manager, support the respective associations in relation to strategic directions, partnerships and regulatory compliance.
Ensure services are delivered in accordance with contractual arrangements that AATE has in place with the associations.
Skills and Experience:
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in particular the ability to communicate and work closely with other staff in carrying out shared responsibilities.
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with volunteers and association representatives.
Project management skills.
Experience with event planning and coordination.
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage a variable workload while working to a schedule.
Proficiency in using office software and membership management systems.
Ability to display initiative and to provide input into the development and delivery of AATE programs and activities.
Experience working with professional or community associations would be beneficial.
