Allied Health Assistant

Improve Experiences

· Provide an excellent standard of evidence based and person centred care by working in partnership with therapists and assisting them in various duties as required, such as, the application of exercise and treatment theories, preparing equipment and rooms, individual/group treatment sessions, evaluation plans, and goal and discharge planning.

· Demonstrates professional practice by adhering to Healthscope's polices and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education. Maintain skills and standards of customer/patient service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.

· Supports Healthscope's safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in department meetings, audits and quality activities. Ensure compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.

· Acts as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team by assisting treating therapists, nurses and other staff in providing exceptional care/service, providing feedback to the treating therapist or nursing staff on the patient's performance/status, participating in team meetings, and raising any questions or concerns related to patient care to create an experience that makes a difference.

· Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.

The Hills Private Hospital is a refurbished, 111-bed rehabilitation and mental health hospital which offers both inpatient and day program services. Our facility has generous sized rooms with modern therapy areas and equipment.

Our 92 bed rehabilitation unit and 19 bed Windsor Road Clinic contributes to the provision of a multidisciplinary service catering for the various stages of patient care from inpatient to day programs.
