The Role
FCS is seeking an experienced and motivated HSEQ Manager to lead and develop the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) function across the business. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic HSEQ initiatives, mentor a team of passionate professionals, and influence operations across multiple projects and locations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategic HSEQ leadership and direction.
Lead and mentor a HSEQ team, setting clear goals and promoting professional growth.
Oversee the continuous improvement of HSEQ systems, procedures, and audits.
Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with legislative and accreditation requirements.
Support the business in identifying and mitigating risks, and ensure effective incident investigation and response.
Lead the preparation of HSEQ performance reports and ensure timely close-out of audit actions.
Represent the business with key industry partners and with external stakeholders.
Manage HSEQ budgets and resources effectively, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Deliver internal HSEQ training programs and support onboarding and induction processes.
Collaborate with leadership across the business to align HSEQ strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (essential).
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety (desirable).
First Aid Certificate (desirable).
Return to Work qualification or experience(desirable).
ICAM or Taproot qualification (highly regarded).
Minimum 5+ years in a senior HSEQ role, preferably in mining, or construction.
Demonstrated experience managing HSEQ teams across multiple sites or business units.
Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Management Systems.
Sound understanding of Australian OHS legislation and audit processes.
Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation.

Ability to observe proper safety precautions.
Strong focus on safety and meeting safety expectations
Ability to complete tasks efficiently to high quality standards.
Results driven - demonstrated experience in achieving results and objectives.
Ability to use reason and judgment to problem solve.
