The City of Karratha is looking for a Customer Service Officer to be the welcoming face of the Karratha Leisureplex — our premier community recreation facility.
As the first point of contact for patrons, you'll be instrumental in delivering friendly and efficient service, providing accurate information about our programs and facilities, and supporting the administration and promotion of a wide range of recreation services. You'll also play a key role in handling bookings, assisting with programs, and ensuring our customers have a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing professional front-of-house service to the public and facility users
- Promoting and supporting a variety of health and recreation programs
- Managing facility bookings and maintaining accurate records
- Handling cash and financial transactions securely and accurately
- Assisting with administration and marketing support for Centre programs
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and welcoming community space
What You’ll Bring:
- A friendly, approachable manner and strong communication skills
- Confidence in customer service and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with cash handling and general administration duties
- Basic knowledge of recreation facilities and programs (desirable)
- First Aid qualification and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- A valid C Class Driver’s Licence and a current National Police Certificate
