Seeking a Production Driller with Cable bolting experience to join their underground drilling team, 7/7 days/nights on/off, residential based with accommodation provided for duration of assignment.

They pride themselves on having an impeccable fleet of underground mining machines equipped with the latest ergonomically designed and state-of-the-art precision long-hole drilling technology. With renowned brands and a strong focus on productivity, safety, and team value, they are at the forefront of the mining and drilling industry. Currently, they are seeking a Production Driller to join their operations team on a 1-week-on, 1-week-off rotating roster based in Broken Hill, NSW.

This position is particularly suitable for individuals who possess a strong background in underground Epiroc/Atlas Copco and Sandvik drills operating experience.. The ideal candidate for this opportunity should be willing relocate to or is currently residing in Broken Hills or surrounding areas, and or DIDO options far west northern N.S.W. areas to the point of hire.

Requirements:

Operate the Sandvik Solo or Atlas/Epiroc Simba production drill rigs to drill accurate and efficient production long holes according to the drill plan.

Ensure correct collaring, depth control, and alignment for optimal blast outcomes and minimal dilution.

Identify and report mechanical issues or hazards to maintenance crews and supervisors.

Adhere strictly to underground mine safety protocols, ground control procedures, and ventilation requirements.

You must hold trade certifications in Certificate III and IV in Drilling Operations / Underground Metalliferous Mining in production drilling coming from a underground mining environments. You must demonstrated a can-do and resilient attitude alongside with the proficiency in operating heavy drilling machinery and equipment safely and efficiently. Your ability to read and interpret drilling plans, understanding of downhole conditions and how to adjust drilling operations accordingly coupled with adhering and following safety protocols, emergency procedures, and underground mining environments regulations. Strong communication skills are essential, as they enable you to cultivate long-term customer relationships. A forklift/ HR licence, Work at Heights, explosive and blast handling training coupled with cable bolting competency will come in handy .
