  • Prepare and cook hot and cold meals according to menu specs and portion guidelines
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and visual presentation
  • Monitor wastage and portion control as part of daily production targets
  • Work collaboratively with your section and wider kitchen team to meet deadlines
  • Keep your workspace clean and hygienic in line with HACCP procedures
  • Contribute to safety and quality records as required by aviation food standards
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Excellent knife skills and experience in a commercial or high-output kitchen
  • Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety processes
  • A focus on quality and consistency, especially when following set recipes
  • The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A reliable, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
  • Willingness to complete a police check, pre-employment medical, and drug & alcohol test. this will required out of staff own pocket.
  • Police Check: approx. $50
  • Pre-employment Medical (including drug & alcohol test): approx. $250
  • About the Role
    This hands-on Chef role is based at Sydney Airport and will see you preparing and cooking a variety of hot and cold dishes for international and domestic airline passengers. You will follow set recipes and ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet strict airline standards.

    This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, best suited to Chefs who are confident with volume cooking and can maintain their cool under pressure. You’ll be working as part of a structured brigade, producing a high number of meals daily with a sharp focus on detail, hygiene, and food safety.

    We are currently hiring for Chefs / Cooks across multiple cuisines including Asian and Western specialties.
