We currently have 2 positions available working in a Centre that is licensed for 155 children. We are slowly expanding and therefore looking for dedicated and reliable workers to join our lovely team.
We are looking for permanent part time Educator to work 32 hrs a week 5 days a week Monday to Friday both BSC and ASC or a permanent part time Educator to work 26 hrs a week across 5 ASC session 3 BSC session
We run Before and After School Care as well as Vacation Care. The Centre is a non- for- profit organisation and is run by a Parent Committee within the Holy Family School grounds with a dedicated team of carers.
The essential criteria required for Permanent Part-time position is:
32 hours per week (Mon to Fri) (Split-shifts)
26 hours per week (Mon to Fri - ASC) 3 BSC shifts to be negotiated
Centre based experience within the childcare industry a minimum of 6 months
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Excellent communication and liaison skills
Experience of programming and planning, preferable in a OOSH setting
Knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place.
Current First Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
Child Protection Certificate - Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk.
Food Safety Supervisor Course
Computer Skills - Good
Current Working With Children's Check / DOB required for verification
Minimum requirement certificate 3 of children's services
Responsibilities:
Administration
Read & develop an understanding of the service's philosophy, policies and procedures.
Participate in professional development
Attend staff meetings
Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and meal times.
Contribute to the development of the QIP
Undertake duties as determined by the Nominated Supervisor
Comply with all service policy and procedures
Programming –Based on My time our place
Actively engaging with children during the implementation of the program
Communicate with Children, staff and parents
Capacity and willingness to consent to and fulfil the obligations of a Responsible Person in Director's absence including ensuring children's health and hygiene, safety and wellbeing, risk management.
Assisting the Director in the day to day operation of before, after school and vacation care services, and including the planning and improvement of school aged care service in compliance with National Quality Framework.
To be successful in this role, you will also need to have well developed interpersonal and time management skills. We are looking for someone who has the drive, enthusiasm and passion to work in this environment.
