Change Management Lead opportunity

• Daily rate approx. $1,200 - $1,500 dependent on experience
• Assignment duration is up to 18 months, 4 days a week, Immediate Start
• Melbourne CBD location/Hybrid Arrangement

About the role

Our client, a utilities provider, currently seeks a highly experienced Change Management Lead to join them on a long-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 18 months, 4 days a week based in Melbourne CBD. As the Change Management Lead, you will be responsible for leading and developing a new Capital Program Partnership project working directly with project managers, senior leaders and subject matter experts.

The new Capital Program Partnership model will deliver changes to Contract terms, conditions and governance; Procurement, pricing and payment mechanisms; Performance management; Reporting requirements; Capital systems and process; Risk management; and Business readiness review.

Key Accountabilities

Key tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Managing engagement plans for key internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies
• Assessing impacts to internal and external audiences from changes to systems, processes, governance, roles, responsibilities and structures
• Developing and delivering campaign plans over lengthy, staggered timelines to build commitment, build capability and embed changes across the different audiences
• Identifying potential risks and obstacles that may impede successful change implementation, including escalation where an insufficient approach to change initiatives will result in poor or adverse project and business outcomes
• Coaching leaders and project team members

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge and skills that you will need to demonstrate include:

• 7+ years' experience in change management within government or complex multi-layered organisations
• Experience in change projects that involve: RFP, Major capital contracts, Transitioning providers in and/or out
• Proven and demonstrated ability to work with team members across Contracts, Procurement, Risk, PMO and Training
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with a wide range of customers and external stakeholders
• Managing concurrent change plans across different audiences
• Sound commercial acumen and judgement gained in large or complex organisations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Change Management, Business or related field
