About the Opportunity
We are proud to be partnering with a well-established, family-owned early learning provider to appoint an experienced and passionate Area Manager. With two beautifully Centres located in Kyneton and Avondale Heights (coming soon), this organisation is known for its warm, inclusive environments, strong community ties, and commitment to high-quality education and care.
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity offering both operational autonomy and strategic input. You’ll report directly to the General Manager and Managing Director, who oversee both the childcare organisation and its well-regarded sister company in Aged Care. This collaborative structure offers the chance to work alongside forward-thinking leaders who are passionate about delivering excellence in care across generations.
The Role
As the Area Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the performance, compliance, and continuous improvement of both centres. You’ll provide mentorship and guidance to Centre Directors, foster a positive and professional culture, and ensure the services operate in alignment with regulatory standards and the provider’s core values.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support and strategic direction to Centre Directors
Ensure both centres meet and exceed NQF and compliance requirements
Lead recruitment, retention, and professional development initiatives
Monitor and uplift pedagogical practices and quality standards
Foster collaborative relationships with families, educators, and community partners
Prepare reports and insights for the General Manager and Managing Director
About You
You are a confident and supportive leader with deep knowledge of early childhood education and the ability to lead multiple services effectively. Your approach is people-focused, solution-oriented, and grounded in quality improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
Experience in a multi-site Early Childhood Leadership position, or 5+ years as Centre Director
Strong understanding of NQF, EYLF, and relevant regulations
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
Excellent communication, planning, and relationship management skills
Ideally located in Melbourne’s north-western suburbs with capacity to travel to both centres regularly
Why Join This Organisation?
Family-owned and operated, with genuine values and vision
Direct access to executive leadership across childcare and aged care
Two-centre portfolio with potential for future growth
Supportive team culture with a focus on development and quality
Competitive salary, professional autonomy, and meaningful impact
