CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RATES OFFICER
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to be the first point of contact at the Shire of Dowerin. As Customer Service & Rates Officer, you’ll play a key front-line role in assisting community members, managing a range of enquiries, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our administration team.
This part-time position is responsible for providing quality customer service, maintaining accurate property and rates records, processing payments, and assisting with administrative functions including records management, correspondence, and front-desk support. You’ll be an important part of the team, helping ensure smooth, responsive service across the organisation.
ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
You are approachable, well-organised, and comfortable juggling multiple systems and tasks. You enjoy working with people and bring a positive, can-do attitude to your work. Whether helping someone at the front counter or supporting colleagues behind the scenes, you take pride in your work.
Previous experience in rates administration, customer service, or local government is highly regarded. Training will be provided for the right person who is willing to learn.
WHAT WE OFFER
This permanent position offers employment terms and conditions in accordance with and above the Local Government Officers’ (Western Australia) Award 2021.
