The Roles

Located in the fast growing and stunning Peel region, these positions will allow you to grow, thrive and develop your career all while spending your days making an important impact on the local community.

Full-time and Part-time positions are on offer, with flexibility on offer regarding the days and hours you may work. Some of the key tasks in each position are:

Accounts Receivable Officer:

· Creation and maintenance of customer accounts;

· Preparation, processing and collection of sales invoices;

· Receipt of bank receipts and the reconciliation of our Municipal, Reserve and Trust bank accounts;

· Assist with the management of grants.

Finance Officer:

· Maintenance of supplier accounts, processing and audit of supplier invoices, management of the Shire credit cards;

· Preparation of month end controls and monthly reports;

· Provide assistance and support to the Finance team in relation to accounts receivable, insurance, accounts payable, BAS and investments.

Accounts Payable:

· Create and maintain vendor accounts, ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments and coordinate regular payments;

· Maintain and refund bonds, levies and permits and coordinate bank guarantees.

About you

As a key part of the finance team, you will be someone who loves to grow and learn, as well as having the drive to work to a high standard to meet customer needs.

· Fantastic customer service skills;

· Time management and organisation skills;

· Interested in building a strong team culture;

· Experience with excel and accounting software;

· Experience within local government or a similar position.

The Shire

Located in the rapidly growing Peel region, the Shire of Murray is known for its natural beauty, heritage, and outdoor adventure. The Murray River winds through the Shire, connecting Pinjarra, the heart of the Shire and one of the oldest towns in Western Australia, Dwellingup, a much-loved trails town, and the localities of Ravenswood, North and South Yunderup, and Furnissdale.
