About the role
Provide high quality dental assistant services within the Children's Specialist Oral Health Services (COHS) of Metro North Oral Health Services (MNOHS). Contribute to the provision of oral health services within the delivery system for public sector health care in Queensland. Coordinate and organise dental assisting staff and material resources, in collaboration with the Director, Practice Manager and other senior staff.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide chairside assistance to Dentists, Dental Specialists, Dental Prosthetists, Dental and Oral Health Therapists, and Dental Students in oral health procedures.
- Maintain the clinical environment in a safe and hygienic state and undertake supportive duties, such as maintenance of instruments and equipment.
- Provide supervision, leadership, direction, and support to your team of Dental Assistants to ensure the efficient operations of COHS and manage their performance appraisal and staff development.
