The School of Access Education supports the overall management of CQUniversity’s enabling course, Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS). It also hosts the Academic Learning Centre (ALC), which supports undergraduate, postgraduate and VET students throughout their studies.

As an Associate Lecturer in Academic Communication, you will contribute to teaching and curriculum development across enabling, undergraduate, and post-graduate levels. You’ll also carry out activities which will enhance your scholarly, research and/or professional practice aligned with your discipline.
Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to contribute positively to the team culture through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Requirements
Possession of a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in education or related discipline with industry or professional experience.
Advanced knowledge of English grammar and sentence structure.
Familiarity with University standards and academic writing, including how to research, write and reference assignments.
Knowledge and commitment to the principles of adult learning and lifelong learning.
Demonstrated success in literacy teaching and providing academic learning advice / assistance, illustrating a student focused approach to delivery.
Demonstrated ability to deliver quality innovative courses and units using a range of learning and teaching styles including flexible learning and multi-campus delivery models.
Demonstrated ability in effective oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
