This management role leads, plans and delivers services for the management of estates and programs within the QPWS Central West area, Central Region. The position provides high level support to the Regional Director, Central Region.
As Principal Ranger Central West, you will:
• Develop and implement business and operational plans for the effective management of the QPWS estate within the Central West Area.
• Ensure operational activities support and deliver upon QPWS's strategic direction and commitments.
• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team and multiple projects concurrently.
• Effectively and efficiently manage staff and resources across a large, geographically-dispersed area.
• Build and maintain working relationships and consultative processes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in committees, boards and at other meetings relevant to operational business.
• Provide precise and effective financial administration and expenditure.
• Ensure the accurate and timely input of data into divisional and regional information systems.
• Report on program activities and the progress and outcomes of operational activities and projects.
• Ensure operational activities are compliant with legislative obligations and statutory requirements.
• Provide high-level support to the Regional Director.
• Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people.
Travel will be required from time to time. This includes overnight stays in remote and isolated areas.
