About the role
Ukubebe' is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Childhood Music Educator to join our team on a part-time basis in our Randwick, NSW location. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate music education programs to young children aged 6 months to 5 years.
Immediate start.
You will visit early childhood services in the Eastern Suburbs, to teach music classes. you are required to drive to different locations so it is a requirement that you must have a current Australian drivers licence and a car.
This not an instrumental tuition role: please do not apply if you are solely an instrumental teach (piano /guitar etc) and if you don’t have any early childhood music teaching experience.
What you'll be doing
Teach high-quality, interactive music lessons tailored to the needs and interests of early childhood students
Incorporate a variety of musical genres, instruments, and teaching techniques to foster a love of music in young learners
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's musical development
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching music to young children in an early childhood setting
Strong knowledge of child development, early childhood education principles, and age-appropriate teaching strategies. Knowledge of Orff, Dalcroze and Kodaly is desired.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging, interactive, and developmentally appropriate music lessons
Passion for music education and a commitment to fostering a love of music in young learners
Qualification in music education and/or early childhood education, or a related field
Current working with children check and first aid certification
