About the role

RSM People is seeking an experienced and motivated Procurement Coordinator to join our client's team in Bundaberg. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process and supporting the delivery of quality products and services to our clients. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of our business.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and processing purchase requisitions, orders and payments

Reconcile end of month purchasing data

Monitoring and optimising inventory levels to meet customer demand

Negotiating contracts and purchase orders with suppliers to secure favourable terms

Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities and inventory data

Conduct inbound goods checks and report damaged or non-conforming items to suppliers

Provide regular reporting on procurement performance, supplier risk, cost savings, and stock visibility

Perform other duties as required to support Operations and business goals

What we're looking for

The successful applicant will have a strategic mindset, be extremely detailed in their approach, with a strong focus on accuracy and adhering to operational requirements, together with the following:

Ability to maintain and improve all procurement administration processes, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and increase procurement performance

Strong ability to build meaningful business connections to effect improved supplier negotiations

Experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise procurement processes

Proficient in the use of procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals
