About the role
2include is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Team Leader to join our Behaviour Support Practitioner Team. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Behaviour Support Team in providing person-centered, evidence-based plans to individuals with complex needs, with the aim of enhancing their quality of life and promoting positive behaviour changes. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive environment, making a tangible difference in the lives of the people we serve.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners in delivering high level Behaviour Support Plans to participants and their community.

Perform regular employee supervision, practice reviews and deliver constructive feedback to promote individual professional growth and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Work closely with the Executive Team to implement effective process governance and diligent supervision, including development and review of organisational policies and procedures.

Develop and participate in ongoing professional development and mentoring sessions

Maintain a caseload of NDIS clients.

Provide training and coaching to families, carers, and support staff to ensure consistent implementation of behaviour support strategies.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals to deliver holistic care.

Maintain detailed records and documentation to comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in teaching, social work, psychology, therapy, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in behaviour support, providing services to individuals with complex needs

Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role (BSP or related field)

Demonstrated expertise in conducting functional behavioural assessments and developing comprehensive behaviour support plans

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with families, carers, and a multidisciplinary team

Growth mindset with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise documentation

Commitment to evidence-based practice

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to participants within the local area as required

Successful candidates will also be required to provide a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, Working With Children Check, full Australian Driver's Licence and proof of vehicle registration.
