A fantastic opportunity has come up with a local council seeking a Technical Officer with a Certificate IV qualification and a trades background to oversee building services maintenance requests.

The objective of this role is to assist the Building Management Services team in delivering Council-approved projects and capital works across public buildings, residential and commercial properties, aquatic centres, and the multi-sports stadium.

You'll be part of a small team that includes two Technical Officers, an administrative team that supports the issuing of work orders and handles maintenance administration, a Team Leader, and tradesmen. While the permanent staff have the option for work-from-home arrangements, this position is office-based initially, with potential to become permanent.

Must have a Cert IV in building & construction or equivalent. This role involves forecasting and planning, proactive and reactive maintenance work for asset management planning.

We are looking for someone that can commence as soon as possible on an initial 6 month contract. You will be working a 9 day fortnight.

This role is located in Thornleigh.
