Our client in Hornsby, have the requirement for a Services Works and Assets Officer to be part of their Building Management Services team.

This role ensures that approved projects and capital works for Public Buildings and Aquatic Centres and Multi Sports Stadium are completed in an effective and efficient manner.

Scope:

Review and assist with planning and implementing asset maintenance works programs that support the work of the Branch in accordance with the agreed levels of service for Council's Public Buildings and Aquatic Centres.

Plan and implement approved Capital Works programs for Council's buildings in an efficient and effective manner.

Preparing, reviewing and managing contracts and tenders for Building Management Services.

This role is office based as well as on the tools completing maintenance works.

To be successful for this position, you will have the following:

TAFE Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) or equivalent

Experience required:

Supervision of trades day labour staff and contractors

Financial knowledge

Experience with Microsoft programs - Excel experience required

Knowledge and experience in building maintenance and construction

Knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards for electrical tagging

Knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards for fire protection

Knowledge and experience of Building Code of Australia

Computer literacy skills in word processing, databases, spreadsheets
