Job Opportunity: Administration Assistant – Rockhampton
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as an Administration Assistant. This position provides vital support to the Operations Manager and wider team, assisting across a variety of general administrative, safety, recruitment and bookkeeping tasks.
Role Responsibilities
Day to day, your tasks will include:
General administration duties including reception, phone and email correspondence
Assisting with recruitment activities including posting job ads, scheduling interviews and onboarding documentation
Approving staff timesheets and ensuring accurate data is entered into internal systems
Data entry and maintaining digital and physical employee records
Assisting with customer queries and general sales administration
Compiling reports and assisting with internal documentation
Conducting routine checks and audits to ensure compliance with internal processes and safety procedures
Supporting site leadership in ensuring WHS documentation is up to date and safety procedures are followed
Providing administrative support to colleagues and senior management as needed
Other ad hoc administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the site
This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
To Be Successful, You’ll Have:
Strong communication skills and a proactive can-do attitude
High attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
Solid time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Experience with accounts or bookkeeping tasks (desirable but not essential)
A willingness to learn new systems and procedures
A valid driver's licence
A commitment to being a reliable and positive team member in a long-term role
