We are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Junior School Music Coordinator to lead and deliver the music program across our ELC to Year 6 on a contract capacity for Term 4, 2025 as one of our colleagues will be enjoying their long service leave. As a member of the Junior School team, you will play a vital role in nurturing creativity and expression through musical pursuits in our students. Our amazing Director of Music will be there to support you in this dynamic role as a mentor and to ensure that you are on track and have access to the resources and background that you need to be successful. Working with our Junior School team we will enable you to bring your flair and experience but also ensure you have the scaffolding around you as you onboard.

About the Role
As Junior School Music Coordinator, you will:
Deliver and oversee the music curriculum from ELC to Year 6 (with full support from our Director of Music)
Lead key performance ensembles including Junior School Choirs, the Junior School Orchestra, and classroom-based instrumental programs
Coordinate and direct Junior School music events such as the Assemblies, Services (Advent), Nativity and community events
Collaborate closely with the Director of Music, Instrumental Music staff and Junior School staff to maintain a strong and engaging music culture
The successful applicant will:
Demonstrate experience and enthusiasm in teaching music within early childhood and primary education settings
Possess the capability to lead musical ensembles and successfully coordinate large-scale performances and events
Exhibit a strong commitment to fostering musical excellence and encouraging active student engagement in the arts
Work effectively within a collaborative team environment and contribute positively to the wider school community
Be committed to Korowa’s values: Courage, Integrity and Curiosity
You must hold a current VIT registration and have the right to live and work in Australia.
