Payroll Officer - $57-$58/hr (6-Month Contract)
Location: Keswick, SA

Excel Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Officer to join our client's team on a 6-month contract, based at their Keswick office.

About the Role:

As a Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant procurement and accounts payable operations. You'll be responsible for coordinating the ordering of goods and services, supporting invoice processing, and providing guidance to internal teams-all in line with procurement directives, procedures, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the ordering of goods/services in accordance with procurement procedures and contractual terms.
• Create SAP purchase orders and ensure invoices are paid within agreed vendor payment terms.
• Support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including cost-saving initiatives and spend consolidation opportunities.
• Maintain and reconcile purchase orders and invoices in SAP, including Goods Receipt Invoice Receipt (GRIR).
• Provide day-to-day support to staff regarding procurement and accounts payable activities.
• Liaise with Strategic Procurement to ensure contractual arrangements are utilised effectively through SAP.
• Manage the administration and reporting of corporate credit cards, Cab Charge, and bank guarantees.
• Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders and suppliers to meet procurement and payment needs.

About You:

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Purchasing, Accounts Receivable (AR), or Finance.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office suite (desirable).
• Experience in the energy industry will be highly regarded.
