About the Role

Reporting to the Operational Team Leader, the Payroll Officer will work as part of a high-performing team responsible for delivering efficient, accurate, and compliant financial processing. This role involves regular interaction with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and members of the public, and requires a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and updating supplier accounts across multiple financial systems
• Liaising with suppliers to ensure tax invoice compliance
• Handling a high volume of inbound and outbound enquiries via phone and email
• Working independently and within a team to meet daily targets and service deadlines
• Reconciling supplier accounts (preferred but not essential)

Ideal Candidate

• We are seeking individuals with:
• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or high-volume customer service (especially call centres)
• Exposure to financial reporting or accounting processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel (intermediate level)
• You will also need to demonstrate:
• Strong data entry and typing skills (minimum 40 wpm)
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• The ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a high-volume environment
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• A commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving team goals

Essential Requirement
A current National Police Clearance is mandatory for all applicants. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.
