About Us
We’re a small independent bookstore in the Sunshine Coast hinterland town of Maleny, about to expand to the coast with another well-established location at the heart of its seaside community. Known for our warm service, curated shelves, and local literary events, we’re more than just stores—we're neighbourhood hubs for readers and creatives alike. We’re now inviting a new Business Support Manager to become part of the family and help support our growth with heart and purpose.
The Role
In this key position, you’ll work collaboratively with our business owners and store managers to support the daily operations and long-term sustainability of our business. This is a hands-on role based at the Maleny store, however, some travel between locations may be required from time to time. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys the variety that comes from balancing finance work with broader administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Manage administration, streamline processes and keep our systems running efficiently
Resolve customer, system and supplier queries escalated by store teams
Manage inventory levels, supplier reconciliations and relationships with publishers
Prepare timely payments, payroll, financial reports and analysis to assist the owners with business decision-making and strategic planning
Support our retail team in implementing strategies to boost revenue growth
Fill in for team members to cover breaks, leave or peak times
