About the company:

A family owned head contractor who have been established for 45 years with plans to double in size over the next year due to some massive project wins.
They specialise in unique commercial, government, and defence projects across Australia and D&C modular buildings in the Pacific Islands and Africa. They are looking for an experienced senior mechanical (HVAC) project engineer to have full responsibility for the mechanical package for an upcoming government project.

What your day looks like:

• Review consultant designs, prepare detailed mark-ups, and coordinate adjustments to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Oversee procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery and quality of mechanical components and materials during the construction phase.
• Manage quality assurance for all mechanical systems, conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges.
• Monitor project timelines, budget allocations, and resource use to meet project milestones efficiently.

About you:

• 7+ years mechanical engineering experience in Australia.
• 2+ years of site experience with solid understanding of construction processes
• Ability to be across mechanical design, procurement, construction processes, and commissioning procedures.
• Skilled in supplier and subcontractor management.
• Great understanding of Australian standards and regulations.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
