The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in West Footscray. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environments who is ready to support our business growth through insightful financial analysis and operational support.

You’ll work across multiple functions—reporting, cost analysis, forecasting, ERP support, and stakeholder engagement—to help drive smarter, data-backed decisions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse operational and manufacturing costs, identifying savings opportunities

Develop and maintain standard costing models

Conduct cost-volume-profit (CVP) and margin analysis for new and existing products

Assist in preparing monthly accounts, budgets, and rolling forecasts

Perform reconciliations and maintain the general ledger

Provide variance analysis (e.g. PPV, wastage, labour/material costs) and business insights

Capture and report CapEx and project-related financials

Support ERP system implementation and improvement initiatives

Work collaboratively with the procurement and operations teams to optimise spend

Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and reporting standards

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

1–2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing or FMCG

Solid understanding of cost accounting and financial reporting

High level of Excel proficiency; experience with ERP/accounting systems

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with non-finance stakeholders

Enthusiastic team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
