The Head of Financial Control is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the organisation's financial control functions, including providing strategic financial control and guidance to ensure the agency's financial management practices align with the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) and NSW Treasury's policies, frameworks, and guidelines. The Head of Financial Control plays a critical role in maintaining the organization's financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. Furthermore, it will ensure internal financial management planning and performance reporting is aligned with submissions up to NSW Treasury (Prime).

The Powerhouse Museum sits at the intersection of arts, design, science and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. We are undertaking a landmark $1.2 billion infrastructure renewal program, spearheaded by the creation of the new museum, Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the renewal of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.
The Powerhouse is the custodian of over half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of Australia's finest and most diverse collections.
