About the role

Vanguard Support Services' is seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Old Erowal Bay, NSW. As a casual Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our disabled clients, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and housekeeping

Providing emotional and social support to clients, engaging them in meaningful activities and outings

Advocating for clients' needs and actively participating in the development and implementation of their care plans

Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures

Collaborating with the wider care team to ensure seamless service delivery

What we're looking for

A minimum of 6 months' experience in the aged care or disability support sector

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clients

A genuine passion for supporting and empowering vulnerable individuals

A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent

A strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in the industry

A positive, adaptable, and problem-solving mindset

A current Driver's Licence and reliable transportation

An NDIS Worker Screening Check
