Make a real difference in the life of a young boy with Autism.
Are you a reliable, positive male role model who's passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism, ADHD, or ODD?
If so, we want to hear from you.
Links to Life specializes in skill development through Positive Behaviour Support. We are currently looking for a male Mental Health Support Worker to support a young boy with Autism, working in community settings and the family home across Western Sydney.

About the Role

We are seeking a male Mental Health Support Worker to provide consistent, structured support to a young client, following an individualized behaviour support plan and working closely with experienced Behavioural Practitioners.
Your role will involve:

  • Providing intentional engagement and meaningful interactions
  • Supporting the client with daily routines and activities aligned with NDIS goals
  • Encouraging the development of life skills, confidence, and independence
  • Acting as a stable and supportive presence for the young person and Behavioural Specialist
  • Supporting sessions in family homes and local community settings
  • Remaining calm in challenging situations and responding to behaviours with care and structure
What We're Looking For
  • A male support worker, as requested by the client's family
  • Experience or genuine interest in working with young people with Autism, ADHD, or ODD
  • A calm, energetic, and engaging personality - someone who connects well with young people
  • Ability to follow a structured behaviour support plan under specialist guidance
  • Confidence in maintaining safe, structured, and positive environments
  • Currently studying (or have studied) in Psychology, Social Work, Youth Work, Disability, Special Education, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
What's in It for You?
  • Consistent, ongoing work with flexibility to fit around your study or other commitments
  • Casual hourly rate: $34 - $42 per hour (depending on experience, under the SCHADS Award)
  • Full client-specific training (approximately 10 hours) provided before starting
  • Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in behaviour support and mental health
  • Minimum availability: 6-12 hours per week (mornings or afternoons)

This is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity to become a positive influence in a young person's life. If you're a patient, passionate, and reliable male support worker ready to make a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you.
