Your Opportunity

As a Marketing Support Officer, you will assist the marketing team to deliver effective and timely promotional activities that support enrolment, retention, and student engagement across the region. You will provide administrative and coordination support for marketing campaigns, events, materials, and supplier engagement.

This position reports to the Marketing Manager.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity

The position will be based primarily at either Townsville or Cairns however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of transformation and culture change through prompting and modelling the established values.
  • Assist in the implementation of regional marketing campaigns and activities.
  • Provide administrative support for marketing projects, including tracking deadlines, organising materials, and managing approvals.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to coordinate collateral production, events, and activations.
  • Support the planning and delivery of regional events, expos, and engagement activities.
  • Maintain marketing databases and distribution lists and coordinate the timely dissemination of promotional material.
  • Support basic updates to digital channels and contribute to social media scheduling.
  • Administer components of the regional marketing budget including invoice processing and reconciliation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TAFE Queensland’s course offerings and support the team to drive enrolment and retention.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

How you will be assessed

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  1. Ability to work effectively in a busy, customer-focused team environment and contribute to marketing activities in support of business objectives.
  2. Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet competing deadlines.
  3. Sound communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise professionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  4. Attention to detail and ability to follow processes when preparing marketing materials and processing documentation.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision and take initiative within delegated authority.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with marketing systems (desirable but not essential).

Highly Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant administrative or marketing experience in a support capacity.
  • Qualification in business, marketing, communications or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • A current driver’s licence is desirable.
